SBBA & Oktoberfest
Each October, the Sandbridge Beach Civic League sponsors Oktoberfest as a benefit to all civic league members. The SBBA is the proud sponsor of the desserts for this event.
The event, which is free to civic league members, is a huge success that brings the community together in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
SBBA Scholarship
Since its inception the SBBA has been providing a $500.00 scholarship to a deserving Sandbridge youth to help with first year college expenses. The Sandbridge Beach Civic League has and continues to be the administrator of the scholarship. As an organization we are proud to assist in helping the young students that live in Sandbridge with their continued education.
Sandbridge for Everyone Campaign
The Sandbridge Beach Business Association sponsors the Sandbridge for Everyone campaign. Sandbridge for Everyone was created by the SBBA to ensure Virginia Beach adopts & enforces reasonable regulations to maintain a peaceful environment while not threatening the viability of the rental market that is a hallmark of the community.
Spring/Fall Clean-up
Sponsored by the Sandbridge Beach Civic League, in both the spring and fall members and friends volunteer to help clean up Sandbridge Beach. Members of the Sandbridge Beach Business Association join this event in appreciation of beautifying our community.
SBBA & Pig Pickin
The association, as a way to enhance the Sandbridge Beach Pig Pickin, the largest single fundraiser for the Sandbridge Beach Fire & Rescue Squad, began offering wine to attendees beginning in 2013. This offering has been a welcome addition and is our way of helping with this extremely successful fundraiser. In the past the SBBA poured out over 15 cases of red and white wine to happy party goers.
